SAIL Recruitment 2024 Selection Process
Selection Process:
- GATE 2024 Scores: SAIL will recruit Management Trainees (Technical) in eight engineering disciplines based on GATE 2024 scores.
- Eligibility: Candidates must have appeared in GATE 2024 in their respective discipline.
- Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted based on GATE 2024 scores and company criteria, notified via SAIL’s website/email/phone.
- Final Selection: Merit list combines GATE scores, GD, and Interview performance. Higher GATE scores have a preference.
Instructions for GATE 2024 Applicants:
- Use the GATE 2024 Registration Number to apply to SAIL.
- Only GATE 2024 scores are considered; previous year scores are not valid.
GD and Interview:
- GD/Interview details will be communicated through SAIL’s website/email/phone.
- Minimum percentile scores required for eligibility: 50th percentile for UR/EWS, 40th percentile for SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwBD.
SAIL Recruitment 2024 Salary
Emoluments:
- Basic Pay: Management Trainees (Technical) will receive a Basic Pay of Rs. [specific amount] per month in the pay scale of Rs. 50000-160000/-.
- Post Training: Upon successful completion of one-year training, they will be designated as Assistant Managers in the pay scale of Rs. [scale].
- Allowances: In addition to Basic Pay, they will receive Dearness Allowance, perquisites under the cafeteria approach, and benefits such as PF, Gratuity, and other allowances as per company rules.
- Additional Benefits: Includes Leave encashment, Housing/HRA, and free medical facilities for self and dependents.
- CTC: Approximately Rs. 16-17 Lakhs per annum (excluding PRP, location-based allowances, etc.) at minimum E-1 grade.
- Liabilities: Direct recruitment does not entail liability for previous employment salary, leave salary, pension contributions, etc., borne by the company.
SAIL Recruitment 2024 Placement
- Location Assignment: Candidates selected may be posted to any Plant/Unit location of the Company.
- Transfer Restrictions: Newly recruited candidates are restricted from seeking or applying for transfer to another Plant/Unit location of the Company for the initial four years of service. Departmental candidates have this restriction for the initial two years.
