About NVS

Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS), referred to as NVS henceforth, operates as an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Education, Department of School Education & Literacy, Government of India. Its headquarters are situated in NOIDA, Uttar Pradesh, with 08 Regional Offices in Bhopal, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Lucknow, Patna, Pune, and Shillong. Additionally, NVS has 07 NLLs located in Amritsar, Goa, Kamrup, NOIDA, Puri, Rangareddy, and Udaipur. NVS oversees more than 650 Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) nationwide, excluding Tamil Nadu. These JNVs are co-educational and fully residential institutions offering education up to the Senior Secondary level, primarily serving rural communities.

NVS Recruitment 2024

The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has just issued the official notification for direct recruitment to several non-teaching positions, including Junior Secretariat Assistant, Electrician cum Plumber, Female Staff Nurse, Mess Helper, and MTS, among others. NVS will soon commence the online application process, enabling candidates to apply for their desired positions.

NVS Recruitment 2024 Education Qualification

Female Staff Nurse (Group B) Essential

  • B.Sc (Hons.) in Nursing or Regular B.Sc Nursing or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized University/Institute.
  • Registered as a Nurse or Nurse Midwife (RN or RM) with any State Nursing Council.
  • Two and a half years experience in a minimum 50-bed Hospital after acquiring the above qualifications.

DESIRABLE:

  • Working knowledge of Hindi/Regional Language and English.
Assistant Section Officer (Group B) Essential

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University.
  • 3 years experience in administrative and financial matters in Central Government or its Autonomous Organizations.

 
Audit Assistant (Group B Essential

  • B Com from a recognized University.

DESIRABLE:

  • 3 years experience in accounts work in a Government/Semi-Government/ Autonomous organization.
Junior Translation Officer (Group B) Essential

  1. Master’s Degree from a recognized University:
    • In Hindi English is a compulsory or elective subject, or vice versa.
    • In any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi and English as compulsory or elective subjects, or with either as a medium of examination and the other as a compulsory or elective subject at Degree level.

OR

  1. Recognized Diploma or certificate course in translation from Hindi to English & vice versa, OR Two years experience in translation work between Hindi and English in Central/State Government offices, including Government of India Undertakings.
Legal Assistant (Group B) Essential

  • Degree in Law from a recognized University.
  • Three years experience of handling legal cases in a Government Department Autonomous Bodies/ PSU

DESIRABLE:

  • Working Knowledge of Computer Operation.
  • Working knowledge of Hindi & English
Stenographer (Group C) Essential

  • 12th pass from a recognized Board or University.
  • Skill test Norms

  • BCA/B.Sc. (Computer Science/IT) from a recognized University.

Catering Supervisor (Group C) Essential

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Management from an institution recognized by the Ministry of Tourism. Govt. of India/State Government.

OR

  • Trade proficiency Certificate in Catering with a minimum of 10 years of service in Defence Services of the regular establishment (for Ex-servicemen only).
Junior Secretariat Assistant (Group C) [Hqrs/RO Cadre] Essential

  • Senior Secondary Certificate (Class XII) from a recognized Board with a minimum speed of 30 words per minute in English typewriting or 25 words per minute in Hindi typewriting.

OR

  • Passed +2 level of Senior Secondary from CBSE/State Board with Secretarial Practices and Office Management as Vocational Subjects.

DESIRABLE:

  • Knowledge of computer operation and data entry obtained through:

o   Completion of computer operation and data entry as a subject at the +2 level, OR

o   Obtaining a 6-month diploma in computers from a recognized institution, OR

o   Holding a computer literacy certificate at the school level.

  • Experience in accounts/administrative matters in Government/Semi-Government/Autonomous organizations.

 
Junior Secretariat Assistant (Group C) [JNV Cadre] Essential

Senior Secondary Certificate (Class XI I) from a recognized Board and possessing. minimum speed of 30 words per minute in English typewriting or 25 words per minute in Hindi typewriting

OR

Passed +2 level of Senior Secondary from CBSE/State Board with Secretarial

Practices and Office Management as Vocational Subjects.

DESIRABLE:

  • Knowledge of computer operation and data entry obtained through:

o   Completion of computer operation and data entry as a subject at the +2 level, OR

o   Obtaining a 6-month diploma in computers from a recognized institution, OR

o   Holding a computer literacy certificate at the school level.

  • Experience in accounts/administrative matters in Government/Semi-Government/Autonomous organizations.
Electrician cum Plumber (Group C) Essential

  1. 10th class pass.
  2. Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Certificate in the trade of Electrician/Wireman.

Experience:

  • At least 2 years experience in electrical installation, wiring, or plumbing.

DESIRABLE:

  • Two Years’ experience in the maintenance of electrical appliances.
Lab Attendant (Group C) Essential

  1. 10th Class pass with a certificate/diploma in Laboratory Technique.

OR

  1. 12th Class with Science stream from a recognized Board/University.

 
Mess Helper (Group C) Essential

  1. Matriculation pass (Class X passed from recognized board).

Experience:

  • Selection process based on Competitive Exam and Interview/Skill Test.
  • Trade/Skill Test is qualifying in nature and doesn’t carry weightage.
