Ford Recruitment Job Description
- Develop code as well as testing and simulation for digital manufacturing equipment and its sub-assemblies.
- To concentrate specifically on industrial Virtual Commissioning, Digital Twin integration, Industrial PC / PLC software simulation/emulation, code development, and automatic testing.
- The digital equipment simulations include driven robotic cells, servo-actuated mechatronic systems, and high-volume automated process equipment.
To support automation engineers in the debugging of the system to ensure software readiness prior to commissioning on the shop floor.
Ford Recruitment Responsibilities
- Capable of understanding existing APIs for the simulation software and building upon that.
- Capable of utilizing and implementing version control.
- Research new technologies to drive manufacturing toward digital transformation.
- Develop material flow to simulate and properly control product appearances within the system.
- Virtual commissioning Engineers work with cross-functional teams to design, validate, and final roll out of controls code to achieve full production line simulation.
- The candidate will be key in driving standardization across all manufacturing lines and processes.
- Candidate will work closely with external equipment integrators and internal Ford team to bring components from initial design, through prototype development and finally into full simulation.
- Gather Inputs requirements based on existing processes in simulation and build an automated pipeline.
- Drive the development of automation processes with a focus on robotic and process simulations, device kinematics, and virtual automation.
- Research new technologies to drive manufacturing toward digital transformation.
- Understands Ford specifications and standards for use in developing simulated hardware components and systems.
- Utilizes existing standards as well as references from previous projects to develop and customize all required application-specific components (Logic blocks, smart components, Behavior models for auxiliary controllers).
- Develops, writes, Optimizes, and/or modifies PLC programs with any specific Programming language LAD, STL, SCL, etc.
- Develops, writes, optimizes & /or modifies Robot programs
Ford Recruitment Qualification
- Knowledge of Siemens Process Simulate, Mechatronic Concept Designer, Plant SIM, SIMIT, VRC Manager, and 840 DSL Controller
- know-how of 3D CAD design applications like CATIA and NX CAD
strong programming abilities with the capacity to automate manual simulation procedures using at least one programming language (C#, C++, Python, etc.). - Prior experience with utilizing software APIs.
- a fundamental knowledge of linear algebra and kinematics.
- knowledge of PLC controllers from manufacturers such as Siemens and Allen-Bradley
- software for programming robots and simulating robotic systems from ABB, Kawasaki, Kuka, and Fanuc.
