Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) is a public medical university in Chandigarh, India. it is an ‘Institute of National Importance’. Age limit PGIMER Recruitment

• The Candidate’s Age Limit is 18-30 years.

PGIMER Recruitment Selection Process

Computer Based Test

• Candidates who have successfully submitted their online application will be allowed to appear in the online computer-based test (CBT). The scheme of examination will be as under:

The minimum qualifying/eligibility criteria for CBT and interview separately will be 40% marks for the General/EWS category and 35% marks

• For SC/ST/OBC categories respectively. For Persons with Benchmark Disabilities, the minimum qualifying criteria shall be as per the prescribed his/her caste category (General/SC/ST/OBC).
• The Minimum qualifying Criteria Shall be 40% for all categories.

The Computer Based Test (CBT) in the English language only comprising multiple choice questions (objective type) shall be held on an Indian basis at examination cities mentioned in the succeeding paragraphs. Each question shall carry one (01) mark.

Skill Test

• For the posts of Lower Division Clerk, shortlisted candidates who will be found eligible/provisionally eligible by the Scrutiny Committee will be required to undergo a Typing Test on the parameters as mentioned in the prescribed eligibility conditions for these posts and the candidates will be required to qualify the skill/type test mandatorily. For the posts of Security Guard (Grade II), the Physical Efficiency Test on the parameters mentioned in Section 2.2 (S.No.27) will be conducted for the candidates shortlisted in the online computer-based test.

Document Verification

• The provisional selected/ waitlisted candidates would be called to appear personally for document verification with originals on a day and time to be intimated to them through a notice on the Institute’s website. For Group ‘A’ posts, the candidates who will be adjudged eligible by the scrutiny committee will also be required to appear for the said document verification before the interview. During document verification,
• Candidates will also be required to submit the following certificates/documents/testimonials:-
• Print out the online application form.
• Self-attested/attested copy of the certificate along with mark sheet of Matric, 10+2, and other higher qualifications as per the requirement of the recruitment rules of the post concerned.
• Self-attested/attested copy of experience certificate(s), wherever required.
• No Objection Certificate from the present employer in case a candidate is working in Govt./Semi Govt./Autonomous Body etc.

Final selection

• After document verification, candidates whose certificates support their age, educational qualification, experience, etc. will be in order and would be finally selected on merit only based on the marks obtained in the CBT & Interview.

Examination Cities

• Applicants should indicate his/her choice of city of examination at the time of filling out the online application form. The city of examination shall be allotted on a first-come first-serve basis subject to the availability of nodes in the respective city.
• Applicants should therefore indicate the choice of the city with utmost care.
