On Tuesday, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin inaugurated one of India’s biggest Skywalk bridges. The 570-meter long and 4.2-meter wide skywalk bridge connects the Mambalam railway station and T Nagar bus terminus.
As per the official information, the project will help pedestrians, and one lakh people are expected to use it every day. The multi-modal project connects the railway station and bus stand.

Revenue Minister Dharmana Prasada Rao launched an electronic service delivery system called ‘e-chits’ to protect the interests of chit fund subscribers in Andhra Pradesh here on Monday.
The minister said that cases are being booked on chit-fund companies against their resort to fraudulent practices to dupe the subscribers. In this context, the state has come up with a software application to avoid cheating people on such firms.
The department of stamps and registration had developed the new software application, he said and added that all the chit fund companies must carry out all their transactions through the software application only. This would help the department to monitor the transactions online and avoid any illegal practices, the minister claimed.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Friday approved an Rs 87,416 crore dividend payout to the central government for 2022-23, nearly triple what it paid in the previous year. The dividend payout was Rs 30,307 crore for the accounting year 2021-22.
The decision was taken at the 602nd meeting of the Central Board of Directors of the Reserve Bank of India held under the chairmanship of Governor Shaktikanta Das.
“The board approved the transfer of Rs 87,416 crore as surplus to the central government for the accounting year 2022-23 while deciding to keep the Contingency Risk Buffer at 6 per cent,” RBI said in a statement.

On this occasion, Chouhan said that our government had resolved to take elders on pilgrimage by flight.

Cricket Australia said Saturday that former Test player and field hockey Olympian Brian Booth has died. He was 89.
Booth played 29 Test matches for Australia, including two as captain. He scored five Test centuries and was a key member of Australia’s batting lineup throughout the early part of the 1960s and scored 1,773 Test runs at an average of 42.21.

Booth, whose cause of death was not disclosed, also represented Australia in field hockey at the 1956 Melbourne Olympics.
