Mukesh Ambani has regained his spot as Asia’s richest person after rival Gautam Adani tumbled to No. 24, Forbes said in its Billionaire 2023 list released on Tuesday.

The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has set up a 14-member committee to look into issues related to completing stalled housing projects, and propose a future course of action to ensure that buyers receive their homes.
The committee will be headed by Amitabh Kant, former CEO of Niti Aayog and India’s G20 Sherpa.
It will comprise of top central and state government officials. The panel will suggest ways to complete and hand over the projects to homebuyers in a “time-bound manner.

Telangana govt has launched India’s first Cool Roof Policy 2023-2028 at the CDMA office in Telangana.
It is jointly launched by the state’s municipal administration and urban development department.
The policy aims to drive state-wide adoption of cool roofs by making it mandatory to install cool roofing materials, such as solar reflective paints, tiles, or sheets. to make them heat resilient, besides reducing the energy consumption.
It is a five-year policy, that came into force on April 1, 2023, and continues till March 31, 2028.

The UP government has decided to set up the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission for the recruitment of teachers in the state.
CM gave necessary guidelines regarding the formation of ‘Uttar Pradesh Siksha Seva Chayan Ayog’ (Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission) as an integrated commission for the selection of candidates.
Currently, separate authorities, boards and commissions select these teachers.

The Commonwealth Games champion tested positive for drostanolone, an anabolic steroid banned by WADA. She will be stripped of her National Games silver medal.
Indian weightlifter Sanjita Chanu, a two-time Commonwealth Games champion, was handed a four-year ban by India’s National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) after she tested positive for a banned drug.
Sanjita Chanu was tested during the National Games 2022 held in Gujarat in September-October and her tests came back positive for drostanolone, an anabolic–androgenic steroid prohibited by the World Anti-doping Agency (WADA).

The Indian Institute of Technology, IIT Kanpur will host the Youth20 Consultation under the #G20 Presidency of India, from tomorrow. More than one thousand two hundred youth delegates from across India and abroad will attend the two day event.

Walmart-owned fintech company PhonePe has launched a new consumer application named ‘Pincode’, which is powered by the government’s Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) network.
The service is currently live only in Bangalore, and will be launched in other cities soon.
The app aims to promote local shopkeepers and sellers by digitally connecting consumers with all the neighbourhood stores that they usually buy from offline.

Performance of States Karnataka ranks first among 18 large and medium-sized states with a population of over one crore in terms of delivery of justice.
Tamil Nadu is second and Telangana is third. Uttar Pradesh is at the 18th position, which is at the bottom.
Among small states, Sikkim topped the list of seven small states with less than one crore population, followed by Arunachal Pradesh. Goa is at the bottom, at seventh position.
